Stock Abuse Redux

Description

Last year, on christmas day, i made this strange little video that explained just about all you needed to know about the Stock Gallery. The next day, litterly, I woke up to find like 60 some odd msgs. Scared the crap out of me. Further more, people were leaving comments like "Congradulations!" which led to a huge "WHAT THE FLYING FUCK?!" momement when seconds later i found out that i had recieved my 1st, and so far, only Daily Deviation. A lot has happend since then, and i have long since created other video tuts, while none have recieved nearily the same amount of attention, they have improved over the past year. In light of that, I decided it was time to remake my most famouse video guide:
13:27

What you're about the view is the result of like seven re-recordings. Seven attempts to get it just right. The problem each time was not me, but the audio, which is eternally off for these damn things. :shakefist: I think I may have to update CamStudio. :paranoid: Now I'm not doing this for another DD, in fact i don't expect lightning to strike the same thing twice. of course if this does get a DD i think i'll die from shock. :lmao: However, I do think i managed to make it better and that's all that matters. This vid is siginficantly shorter and features some different stockers from the last time. Enjoy!

Wonderful idea and execution, kudos!!:) A few things that ran through my mind while watching... It might be helpful to include a blurb on,"Where to find stock rules" for each stock artist. They're not always in the comments of the pic. Perhaps mention you should look on their journal page, might have to check previous journal entries and/or may find them on their profile page. Surprisingly, some stock providers do not have any rules. Perhaps could mention that in that case you should a)Check how the pic is licensed, is it Creative Commons? If so... follow the rules for that license. Maybe a link to [link] would be good in that case. Or b)It's simply copy-written. In which case you need to ask the provider to clarify before using. Ummm... perhaps a sentence about emphasizing to check if the pic can be used offsite and or commercially before doing so... again some people don't say - and you'll need to ask. And, lastly I guess mentioning that a Model Release is required to use any shots of people. Most people don't bother with that rule... but certainly if you're going to use commercially or display broadly your depiction of a person you should be aware that person (or their parent)has publicity, privacy and moral rights to their likeness so, technically, a model release should be obtained.. not sure why that's not done more on here... So all in all, loved that you put this together, I really could have used it when I first came to D.A. and instead stumbled along in my learning... Admirable work!
